Description by seller:
Being sold as a non-runner. Although the car can be started and driven, a major oil leak has resulted in cylinder head damage. Being the 3.9-litre Rover engine found in a large number of Land Rover products, parts for this repair are readily available.
Chassis and underpinnings are in good, original condition. The bodywork has had some touch-ups over the years but could do with a refresh as it has a few nicks and scratches.
The cabin is a luxurious place with heaps of leather, wood and aluminium details, but like the exterior could do with some TLC to repair a few areas: driver side seat squab needs stitching fixed, centre console and dash leather has the odd scuff and window switches need refitting.
With the engine sorted it could be a brilliant running project that could be used while the gratifying tidy-up process continues. With aircon, electric windows, luggage space and some brutal power on tap, this could be an excellent sports tourer and one not seen that often in SA.
This vehicle is available to view by appointment in Randburg.
