Despite some very fresh conditions the original Coffee & Cars event in South Africa warmed the hearts with some amazing cars and donations for those in need on 29 August.

It was a feast for the eyes with a mix of vintage, classic and modern classic cars lining the street, their owners sipping coffee, kicking tyres and leaving blankets and dry food donations for Round Table to donate to Oliver’s Village in Benoni the following week.

Besides goods to the value of R15 000 donated (with a generous contribution from Hyde Park Corner Shopping Centre), highlights included a Ferrari F40, a pair of Dino 246, two Lancia Delta Integrale, a whack of Porsche 911 variants, a few early Minis, a brutal Ultima and an insanely clean Toyota Hilux bakkie of the 1980s.
