Thanks to a starring role in Steve McQueen’s 1968 movie Bullitt, this Highland Green GT fastback is the most famous Mustang in the world. In January 2020, it added the most expensive Mustang title to its history document. 

Hold on to your horses… it sold for $3.4 million, out-muscling a ʼ67 Shelby GT500 Super Snake – bought for $2.2 million a year before – by a decent margin.

The 1968 Mustang had belonged to the Kiernan family for 45 years. Sean Kiernan, whose father Bob purchased the vehicle for $3 500 in 1974, decided to sell the car after showing it around the globe for the last two years.
